"I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed meeting my guide Ulrika, and it was a total pleasure and privilege... Inspirational to meet someone so confident, competent and cheerful !! I hope we do more again in the future...Yesterday was pure pleasure...A day to remember!"
-Jo Da Silva, London, Aug '07

Come join guide Ulrika Asp and the rest of the Chamonix girls for a massively fun time learning about off-piste / all-mountain skiing and start ski-touring as well. This course is best suited to those who have done little to no ski touring, and not only want to give it a try, but also become autonomous, and develop a really strong solid foundation for future touring.

You'll get lots of time to ski hard every day but you'll also learn about the techniques that will help you adjust and adapt to the constant variations in the terrain on the mountain. You don't have to be a gnarly skier to join this course, just at least intermediate level, and keen to learn some new stuff on the hill.

We'll have 3 guided days of instruction and loads and loads of skiing. You'll also be taught more than the technical, physical aspects of free skiing - you'll lean about picking the best lines for a descent, avalanche awareness and transceiver use, as well as crevasse rescue and glacier travel if you're keen to spend some afternoons covering those important subjects. You'll also learn about the various gear you'll need for touring and gets tips on maintenance and care for your skis and touring equipment.

Besides being an awesome skier, coach and guide, Ulrika is extremely good at finding out the secret spots where there is the best snow. (And she's funny and nice, too.) To best enjoy this course, you ideally will be comfortable and controlled on hard red to very easy black pisted / groomed runs of varying slope angle. It helps if you've tried off-piste before a little but not mandatory!
