Intermediate Mountaineering
Aug 20, 21, 22, 2010. 2 spaces remaining. €1290
On our Intermediate Mountaineering course, you’ll have a chance to put into practice all the techniques you know a bit about already and try some climbs that will be a little more challenging, and breath-takingly gorgeous.
This course is a great follow-up to the Intro course or is equally suited to climbers who have experienced some high alpine mountaineering already.
You’ll climb a range of different alpine routes and styles, from climbs in gullies and on ridges to snow and mixed climbs, and enjoy some of the more technical classic mountaineering routes. We always try to incorporate a stay in one of the high altitude huts, and you’ll learn about early alpine starts (and why they are often necessary!) We’ll cover crevasse rescue, glacier travel as well as avalanche awareness and risk assessment.
We can happily cater these climbs easily to a range of levels above absolute beginner (depending on who's already in the group). This is a very fun and challenging course, especially for those who are really motivated. The routes can be a little bit more demanding, but also extremely rewarding.
