This course is for absolute first time rock climbers, either who have only climbed at a wall and want to get out on real rock - or for those who just want to give it a try, to see if you like it. This weekend is a great chance to get a taste of what climbing is like, and all in a group that is fun, encouraging, and non-competitive. Held in beautiful Chamonix, we will take you to very easy rock climbing areas, that have a range of climbing styles and levels of difficulty. And, you don't have to do anything you don't want to- we want climbing to be fun and rewarding for you- not scary.

So, we'll spend the first day showing you how the ropes, belaying, and anchors work - so you know the ropes really WILL hold you!- then spend the rest of the first day trying out some easy climbs and getting you more comfortable moving vertically. The next day, we'll spend a more time showing you different techniques to make the climbing feel easier, and try out a few different styles of climbing with you, so you can discover what you like and what styles of routes you prefer.

We'll provide all the equipment you need, and you will be taught by one of our qualified UIAGM mountain guides, so you don't need to buy anything, and you can relax knowing you have an expert teacher on hand.

It's a wonderful weekend, both challenging, very rewarding, and above all, fun. It could be the beginning of a beautiful addiction!
