Rock Debutantes

We don't mean that kind of Debutante. (Umm, and we've found that ball gowns can get caught in the belay device sometimes...)

Rock Debutantes is a first-time, intro 1-day course, for those of you who have learned in an indoor wall, but want to progress to climbing and leading on rock, safely and confidently.

You'll learn how to transfer your indoor skills to the world of rock on single pitch climbs whether you're already leading or happy top-roping and seconding. You'll learn about good movement, "reading" the rock, and footwork tips. Your guides will also teach you about rope management for setting up top ropes, and show you how to correctly and safely thread your rope through bolted anchors at the top of your climb if you're leading. And, you'll learn about belaying outdoors, which can be sometimes somewhat different from the indoor wall.

This course is a great way to get out and try outdoor climbing with the advice and skills of a guide on tap as you learn and progress.

1 Day courses are run on a request-basis, and are primarily held March to November in both the UK and Chamonix.

3 Climbers, £95 each per day*
2 Climbers, £135 each per day.
