What Our Clients Say

Here's what some of our latest Clients have told us:

"You are amazing! You made me feel amazing!...I haven't stopped raving about Mountaingirl and Chamonix and my experience since getting back. To have had so much fun, pushed myself harder than I thought I could and made some new friends... well, it's more than I ever imagined it would be. Thank you for everything...I can't thank you enough for the Mountaingirl experience. You've been an absolute star from the word go. Your enthusiasm and passion for the mountains shines through in everything that you do. The care you took over getting me to the climbing wall here for a practice session, looking after me in Cham, the amazing goody bag, making sure I had all the right kit and then the actual getting out there with Ulrika - it was all faultless. I felt like I'd known you all for months, not days, and was thrilled to meet so many of your friends and get such a good feel for the place. And then coming up to the Aiguille du Midi in your flip flops - well, it was truly beyond the call of duty! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I hope I can do justice to your amazing vision in a feature that will make lots more girls want to take a Mountaingirl course. I don't think anyone would regret it. The high from getting out there, up there, and then back down is still with me."
Julie Alpine, journalist, Intro to Alpinism with Ulrika Asp, June '07

"Climbing with Libby was fantastic. We gained all I could have hoped for from our three days, and more, including friendship. Both daughters climbed well beyond our expectations and with pleasure and enthusiasm. Georgia [my daughter] told Libby: "You've transformed my attitude to climbing." I've gained the confidence I was seeking and the trip has spurred me on to do more leading. Thank you very much for putting us all together."
Peri Cheal, Private Guiding with Libby Peter, Wales, May '09

(What did you like about your course or private guiding?: ) "The prompt customer service and adaptability to our late request. Our guide, Zoe Hart, was GREAT! She was very patient, assessed our abilities and tailored the trip so that all in the party felt comfortable, social, and explained details of the area. I wouldn’t have changed anything...You provided a hotel recommendation, information on transport, and even offered to help us with gear. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Mountaingirl to my friends. THANK YOU!"
K. Ryan, Private Ski Guiding with Zoe Hart, Chamonix, March '09

"I can’t thank you enough for your encouragement with my climbing... You guys must be naturals at bringing out the best in people, as I’m finally really excited again to learn how to get really good. I’m not dreading being rubbish or worse than anyone else..."
R.M., Private guiding June '07

"Thank you so much for a fantastic weekend. Everything was absolutely brilliant; the organisation, the guiding, the ice, the weather, and the experience. I got so much out of the weekend. Please pass on my thanks and say a big hello to Isa and Ulrika - they were both really inspirational guides and I wouldn't have liked to learn to ice climb with anyone else!"
Clare Newman, London. Bespoke Guiding, March '07

"What was the best thing about the course? Working our projects together with Louise and Sally was a great experience, and to me was everything climbing should be about.

I made some really amazing connections with people and climbing partnerships which hopefully will develop and continue in the years to come: having that trust and honesty between people that you don't get in everyday life.

Laughing like I have not laughed in a very long time.

Working with Isa and Louise who managed to create and amazing atmosphere and encouraged all of us in our journeys and to meet our own individual challenges.

Having been used to all male groups the dyanmics are totally different. what I liked about it was the lack of egos and the focus being on just the basic elements of climbing to achieve individual goals to carry you through to the next stage in your climbing pathway.

The envirnoment very much challenged you and encouraged you to develop yourself as a climber but I think this was very much led by the approach taken by Isa and Louise...

I'm hooked...sign me up for Kalymnos...This is an amazing concept and the last week proved how it is going to grow from strength to strength."
-Catherine Reed, Sardinia Coaching Week, May '07

"Small group, very talented guide and lots of laughter. Though the safety issues were dealt with seriously, little else was!...knowing nothing about this fabulous sport of ice climbing, I was in a constantly safe environment where I was encouraged to learn without being patronised or pushed, and I have fallen in love with it.

What better accolade?! Plus I would trust you with my friends' lives... that sounds terribly dramatic, but it is an important thing.

Equally I arrived on my own and immediately felt welcome, so I know my friends would have as much fun as I did, from night one. It is quite something to go somewhere new, learn something new, and all without the security of your own pack of friends.

You have the balance right and understand this well, so create an environment where people can feel relaxed with all the above. Also, you make sure lots of photos are taken which is great....And you cook really really well. Spanish Omlette.... Mmmmmmmm."
-Sally Dixon, Introduction to Ice Climbing, Jan '07

"You met all of our individual needs, and the support, encouragement and feedback enabled me to improve....It was a supportive environment that encouraged learning and challenging yourself in a safe way. It was very well organised - felt it was good value for money. ... Thanks for being you and being wonderful - it was a fabulous week. I am glad you are doing what we all think is important and right - thank you. And thank you for doing it so well."
-Sarah Nicholson, Sardinia Coaching Week, May '07

Nothing could be better. Thanks - I had a GREAT day!!!
-Rawin Vajanopath, Newcastle, Peak Gritstone Workshop

Thank you for a really great time... It was a real privilege to spend that amount of quality time with someone of such skill, in such a fun and relaxed way...From start to finish it was excellent - for example, the professional approach in making the initial arrangements, etc.

The course itself was excellent, enabling me to learn so much in a fun relaxed environment. Your approach makes one feel very relaxed and you can feel yourself developing in confidence.

I think the follow up call to check everything went ok, is also an excellent personal touch which will ensure your clients will remain with you in the long term. I certainly envisage accessing your services on a frequent basis in a variety of ways.
-Catherine Reed, Hartlepool, Bouldering Technique Coaching

"Fantastic welcome and client care from Louise & Isa, the enthusiasm was overflowing and very catching! It was a fantastic, stress free, friendly experience. I haven’t travelled much at all, especially on my own, so customer care that you gave was first class. The packed lunches were fantastic, too, as I don't eat meat and try to eat organic and healthy produce, so that was great."
-Shan Roberts, Wales, Intro to Ice, Feb '07

"Thanks so much for arranging the coaching with Leah, who was BRILLIANT! I couldn't have asked for a better coach, and I really do think the coaching helped me to make the most out of my trip to Font. It's also given me the bug for bouldering - have just taken delivery of my new bouldering mat!"
-Ingrid Ferguson, 1 Day Private Bouldering Technique Coaching in Peak District, May '07.

"Friendly helpful atmosphere, patience of all involved, and such great instruction! Thank you also for taking the time to meet up with me before the course."
-Fiona Mylchreest, Norwich, Bouldering Wokshop, October '06

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed meeting my guide Ulrika, and it was total pleasure and privilege to climb with her. Inspirational to meet someone so confident, competent and cheerful !! I hope we do more again in the future...Yesterday was pure pleasure - climbing "Venus" in Italy! A day to remember!
-Jo Da Silva, London, Private Guiding with Ulrika Asp, August '07

Good instruction, varied routes and difficulty was appropriate - fun crowd and good laughs, and challenging stuff!
-Lisa Woo, London

I had a wonderful guide, who really listened to what I had done / wanted to do next, and then made the decisions -- perfect!... You've all been quite flexible, and I can't think of anything that you could do better.
